ReplyDeleteI had the three books that comprise this omnibus edition "Mysterious Powers and Strange Forces", "Haunted Houses, Ghosts and Spectres" and "Vampires, Werewolves and Demons". Excellent stuff.
This is a marvellous book indeed, I must find myself a replacement copy. I'm immensely grateful to Usborne for fostering my weird obsessions as a youngster, Hamlyn also.
ReplyDeleteWe had this book in ou primary school library in Perth, Western Australia. Me and the other boys would all queue to borrow it, and it would terrify us 8yr olds. Would love a copy now, but fear I'll be just as terrified...
