Abandoned airport

Tempelhof airport (Berlin) part of Albert Speer's 1930s reconstrucution plan, then the centrepiece of the US airlift during the cold war, then closed in 2008, and now open for people to wander around in at their own will. There's something pretty exhilarating about cycling down an old runway.
