Beautiful Bognor

We went on holiday to Butlins, Bognor Regis in 1975 and 1976. It was a fantastic, magical, limitless place. They'd removed the corpse from the pool, by the way.

  2. I cannae, this is someone else's picture. I have got this postcard somewhere, in the overflowing junk room I pathetically think of as my office. I'll dig it out (and the other 50 Butlins postcards) and embiggen it.:D

  3. Blimey, I might have been there the very same year. Maybe '74. The only bit I really remember was playing with my pull-back Straker car, and not being allowed to go on the radio controlled tanks.

I found an old advert for Butlins in one of the paperbacks I bought recently, I might scan it in.

  7. Butlins had Beavers, a sort of Hitler Youth for the younger holidaymakers. I was in the Sea Scouts, but that's a whole other story.
