ReplyDeleteWas this repeated in the late 70s, in the after school slot? I remember it being on during the UFO boom, at around the same time as The Unexplained mag was blowing my mind, and Project Blue Book was on the telly. Scared the living bejesus out of me.
ReplyDeleteGreat times! It was repeated on bbc 2 a lot during the 70's and 80's. Harrison Ford was in an episode once.
ReplyDeleteRemember it vividly. Terrifying. Definitely had a 1980s re-run on BBC 2, around tea time (6pm-ish in our house). I seem to remember around the same time - or perhaps this is just a telescoped childhood memory - the BBC also screened a lot of vintage sci-fi films, such as 'Day the Earth Caught Fire', 'This Island Earth', 'Forbidden Planet', and 'Invaders from Mars' in the same time slot.
ReplyDeleteA scary, atmospheric program was the 'martian chronicles'... i was a tad young to watch it as it was always on after 10pm on bbc2...
