Broadcast in 1976, this is part of an extraordinary BBC production of the Chester Mystery Cycle, plays of a religious theme thought to date back to the early 15th century. An all-star cast give suitably broad performances for this most populist of entertainments.
There's more if you want it, including Keith Chegwin as Abel and Tom Courtenay playing Jesus as a slightly camp, slightly distracted bloke from Hull.
