Apparently when old man Potter died his museum collection was put up for sale. Damien Hirst £1 million bid for the whole lot was rejected by the auctioneers, so the collection was split up and sold to rich private buyers. Shame!
Excellent, excellent. Mr. Potter's cricket-playing guinea pigs used to reside in Batley Museum and we used to go and visit them regularly. Or were they squirrels in a school room?
THIS is now the best thing I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteThat is the freakiest episode of Bagpuss ever!
