Haunted House of Horror

When this came on the BBC late at night a week or so ago, I honestly thought that I'd fallen asleep and that Found Objects had taken over my dreaming unconscious; or that Dolly Dolly had interfered with the very structure of reality. Richard O'Sullivan. Frankie Avalon. George Sewell (later Mendel in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy)... what a bizarre confection ...

  1. A poor film that is absolutely fascinating - the Tigon box set that came out a few years back has director Michael Armstrong's commentary, which is very iluminating. It's worth watching for Richard O'Sullivan's 'cigarette acting' alone.

  2. Early Pink Floyd too. Proof the BBC can still occasionally pull a surprise out of the bag.
