Another One Bites the Dust
Hastings Pier RIP.
What is it about piers that makes them so attractive to arsonists?
Are they the architectural equivalent of catnip?

Surprising how flammable the seaside is, isn't it?
ReplyDeletePier arson? Insurance job on miniature white elephants, yeah?
ReplyDeletePossibly, only I don't consider this example of architectural heritage to be a 'white elephant'. It might be neglected and seedy but I wouldn't presume to judge the cultural merits of such a structure. Entropy has a value too.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt it does. But not the sort of value, I'm guessing, that means much to Bingo Hall owners.
ReplyDeleteVideo is beautiful, tho. I'd love to get *that* phonecall.
Ha! I know exactly what you mean :D
