Heads up: BBC Nat Grid Doc

Back in August I wondered about the early days of electricity pylons and whether or not there'd been any fuss generated by their installation.

Well, it seems that the BBC read that post and have wasted no time in answering my questions, cos they're about to broadcast a three part documentary on EXACTLY THAT:

The Secret Life of The National Grid

Part 1 - 'Wiring the Nation' - is tonight (Tuesday, 26th Oct), on BBC4 at 9pm

(Above photo = pylons near Lovedean, Hampshire; approx. 150 miles from Norfolk)

  1. Who ever is running BBC4 must be a secret hauntology master... the programming of late has been second to none! ;)

  2. It has! Can it be mere coincidence?

We've already outed a prominent council employee. Are there any BBC types secretly lurking here?

  3. If this is by the same people who made The Secret Life Of the Motorway and The Secret Life Of The Airport, it should be good. I'd wondered what else they could do, but hadn't thought of the National Grid.

This would be a good view...
