Wow, these are incredible. Great atmosphere in these.
ReplyDeleteThe first two are quite special. They go so well with the Delvauxs. I thought Grimshaw was the kind of artist fit to hang on the walls of British Home Store cafes but little else. I suppose because I keep on coming across one painting of his, the particularly dull one of the Liverpool docks. It was on my old A-Level History textbook and has seemed to follow me around ever since. Now I've changed my mind, he's brilliant where have I been.
