Premonitions Following an Evil Deed

David Lynch's contribution to Lumière and Company, a 1995 collaboration between 40 international directors in which each was asked to make a short film using the original Cinematographe invented by the Lumière Brothers and working under conditions similar to those of 1895.

There were three rules:

1. The film could be no longer than 52 seconds (edited in-camera)
2. No synchronized sound was permitted
3. No more than three takes.

3 comments:

  1. Gregory, that's amazing. Felt more like 53s though...

  2. The genius of David Lynch! His other shorts are outstanding, the alphabet one in particular really moves me.
