A simple photographic documentation of a transaction, or something else entirely? The fellow on the left seems none too happy that his picture is being taken. Dark dealings exposed? A murder interrupted? I may be getting carried away, but I love the unanswered questions that an old found object, photograph or otherwise, brings up. It allows you (to quote David Lynch) "room to dream."

ReplyDeleteThey aren't touching: the man on the right is stood someway back. And I don't see anything to trigger even the most pathologically morbid imagination (except of course the faceless man hiding in one of the buildings behind them - that goes without saying).
